I have to tell you, February is my power month.
It’s the month for lovers, and I’ve never been more prepared. This year I’m all stocked up on champagne, chocolates, rose pedals, little candy hearts, valentine cards, and every other obnoxious Hallmark cliche- and it’s all for you. Yes, you.
Why, you ask? Because this is the month I find you. This is the month I win your heart. This is the month we fall madly in love with each other and realize we can’t go on being apart. It sounds pretty ambitious, I know, but I just have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that you’re right around the corner and our feelings for each other are begging to be exposed.
I can see you there in my head. You’re shorter than me, and I love it. As I begin to tell you how I feel about you, you grab my collar and get up on your tippy-toes to kiss me. Your lips are so soft, and you smell of sweet vanilla. Your eyes are big and breen (brown/green) despite what anyone tells you, and when you look at me, I feel helpless against your spell. Then you whisper in my ear, “see? I told you I’m crazy” and I tell you I could use some of that craziness in my life- and it’s true, in my head, you are amazing.
I can’t wait to make this the most special month of your life.
