You didn’t forget, did you?
You do realize tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day, right? Of course you do. *rolls eyes*
Okay, so you forgot again this year. Yeah, yeah, I know it sneaks up on you. Trust me, I understand, but she’s not going to, so get your act together! You need something sweet, romantic, practical, and appropriate, and you need it all in the next twenty-four hours. Luckily for you, I’m the king of procrastination.
Finding a suitable Valentine’s Day gift the day of the holiday isn’t impossible, but your odds of finding something perfect greatly decrease with each day you put it off. So, I wouldn’t make it a habit. However, if it somehow slipped your mind, there are some quick and inexpensive things you can do to keep yourself out of the doghouse.
First of all, get a card- something sweet, and maybe a little comical. You’re going to have to write a personalized message inside, so start thinking about all the things that make you love her. Next, organize a nice dinner. Sure, you could take her out to all those tired restaurants you’ve used for the past year, or you can buckle down and make her a romantic dinner at home. Remember, women find men who can cook very sexy. Add in the right amount of wine and she’s putty in your hands.
Don’t forget something sweet for her taste-buds. I generally don’t care for the cliche box of chocolates idea, though I’ll admit they have their time and place. I much prefer something that shows you know her likes. If she loves Hostess cupcakes, get her those instead. The idea here is to make everything personalized- show her that you’ve specifically crafted this Valentine’s Day for her, and no one else.
Jewelery is always appreciated, but keep in mind, it’s not always necessary to break the bank. It is quite possible to find an inexpensive piece of jewelery that she’ll fall in love with at your local jewelery store or on Amazon.com, which I love because Amazon will deliver in a hurry and has an excellent return policy if things happen to go awry.
Last, if you rent her favorite movie, and promise a relaxing night together where she doesn’t have to worry about anything, I’m sure she won’t complain.
Again, every woman is different, and you should absolutely take in to consideration her wants and needs before making any decisions on how to spend your special day together. Remember to make your gifts specific to her, keep them romantic and sentimental, and deliver them with sincerity and love. She’s totally worth it.

A very good guide indeed!
